While tips are graciously accepted it is never expected. If you want to express your gratitude for a great session I also appreciate you leaving a review, telling your friends and family, and sharing/following on social media. All forms of thanks support me as a small business owner.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact me no later than 24 hours before your appointment. If you fail to do so you may be charged 50% of the cost of service. Exceptions will be given for the sudden onset of acute illnesses such as COVID and flu. Please stay home if you are feeling ill.

You should come to the session hydrated, avoid eating a heavy meal right before, and wear comfortable clothing. Try to arrive a little earlier than the scheduled start time to allow yourself time to transition and use the restroom if needed. Silence or turn off your phone and allow yourself this space to disconnect and relax.

When you book your session you'll complete an intake form with questions about your health history, areas you'd like me to focus on, and other relevant information. You'll complete this before our session and it will serve as the starting point for a conversation about what you'd like from our session that day (for example, you may request a massage for relaxation purposes or to address low back pain). After we discuss the session goals I'll leave the treatment room while you undress to your comfort level. During the session I will check in about the pressure and adjust my technique as needed. The environment will be quiet with gentle music and aromatherapy if requested.
-
No. When I ask you to undress to your comfort level, I mean it. My practice is trauma-informed and boundaries and consent are essential components to any good bodywork. For some clients, this looks like not removing any clothes for their massage. That choice is respected. Some massage techniques I would use in this scenario include assisted stretching, joint mobilization, compression, and cranial holds.

I always work with high quality plant-based oils and lotions. I mainly use the Sacred Earth Botanicals Organic Massage Oil Blend (Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Organic Safflower Seed Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, Non-GMO Vitamin E). I occasionally use Sacred Earth Botanicals Vegan Massage Cream or Biotone Dual-Purpose Massage Creme.
If skin sensitivities are a chronic condition for you and you have a lotion that you use at home that works well with your skin you are welcome to bring it with you for your session.
If you have more questions please contact me.

Please reach out and I will respond as promptly as possible.
